Bought these after my kid got a splinter at the park and I had nothing at home. The plastic tips are fine enough to grab a tiny splinter without hurting, and since they're sterile and disposable I don't feel bad tossing one after use. Five in a pack means there's always one in the car kit too.
Finally got a nasty splinter out in seconds with these forceps – the fine tips grab even tiny fragments. Having five sterile pairs means I can stash them in my car, kitchen, and hiking bag without cross-contamination.
These are handy to have in the kit and the plastic tips don't scratch like metal tweezers can. That said, they're pretty flimsy and bend easily if you squeeze too hard, so I'm not sure how long the five of them will last.
